William Darby Conlan was born in Gaybrook, Westmeath, Ireland on 30 Mar 1845.

Mary Coakley was born in Kilbeggan, Westmeath, Ireland on 17 May 1848.

William and Mary were married in New York, NY on 15 Feb 1874

In 1877, William and Mary moved to Forestville, Minn.

In 1881, the family moved to St. Thomas, No. Dak.

In 1888, they moved to Hensel, No. Dak

Mrs. William "Darby" Conlan

Mrs. William Conlan, 67, passed away July 31, 1915, at Madoc, Montana. She had been residing with her daughter Margaret at the latter's claim near Madoc. She came here from North Dakota about two months ago. She was fairly recovering from a recent illness, and was feeling considerably improved in health until a couple of weeks ago. Since that time her condition has been one of gradual decline.

The former Mary Coakley was born on May 17, 1848, at Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, Ireland. At the age of twenty-one, she arrived in New York and on February 15, 1874 was united in marriage to William Conlan. In the year 1877, the young couple moved to Filmore County, Minnesota and from there to St. Thomas, North Dakota in 1881. They resided there seven years and in 1888 moved to Hensel, North Dakota where Mr. Conlan opened a general merchandise store, his building being the first to be erected in that town. This business they conducted until two years ago. About two months ago they moved to Madoc where Mr. Conlan has opened a harness shop. She is survived by her husband, seven sons; Edward, John, William, Christofer, Sylvester, Louis, and Frank, three daughters; Teresa, Gertrude, and Margaret.
